Our verdict

College Board's official practice is our top pick because it is free and comes from the test maker. Full-length practice tests run in Bluebook, the same app used on test day, are timed like a real test and are scored; you can then review results in My Practice, get tailored question sets, and use the Student Question Bank. College Board says Khan Academy's Official SAT Prep is developed in partnership with it and is free, with leveled practice and walk-throughs of every practice-test question. Free peer tutoring is offered through Schoolhouse.world (as of 2026-10-02). The limits are support and proof: there is no instructor-led course, and College Board does not publish score-gain data for these tools.
