Our verdict

Alaska ranks third. Its optional fees page lists free changes and cancellations for Main and First Class tickets issued on or after May 25, 2025, with fare differences applying (as of 2026-10-02). Saver is where it falls behind: no changes, no standby, seats assigned at check-in, last boarding group, and no Atmos Rewards points on Saver fares booked for travel after July 31, 2026. Alaska's Saver page says you can get a 50% credit by cancelling at least 14 days out, but its fee table says Saver cannot be cancelled outside the 24-hour and same-day policies; we mark transparency down for that conflict. Policies change, so check Alaska's pages before you book. We did not fly Alaska; this reads its published rules.
